May I begin by saying that this episode was had me running for tissues and tweeting blind through walls of tears as all the years of Nikki and Victor love and drama came rushing back to me. Here’s what went down otherwise:
Victoria went to Nick’s and the brother and sister combination drank beer while Victoria whined about Victor and Nikki not being together. I am so over grown people whining over their parents. Regardless, they were discussing how happy they were for their mom, Nikki, who was happily marrying Paul tomorrow.
At the church, Nikki was crushing Paul’s heart by handing over his ring and telling him that she can never marry him. Nikki and Paul cried tears as Paul begged her to be with him. Nikki said she just couldn’t because it wouldn’t be fair. Nikki slipped Paul a letter, telling him not to open it and announced that she would be leaving town. She left Paul crying in the church and ran to the place I think we all knew she would go: Mustache Manor. Paul was left behind to read the letter. He did this silently and later ran into Heather where he informed her that he needed to talk to her about Adam.
Right before Nikki arrived at Mustache Manor, Victor was busy trying to force Ashley into forgiving him for his evil deeds. This attempt failed and Ashley went off, as best she could. She decided to go to bed and made it clear to Victor that he was NOT invited. Victor let Nikki in shortly after and she let him know that she would not be marrying Paul after all. Her reason? Why her love for Victor of course! Although Victor let Nikki know that he was married to Ashley now and expecting the not-so-baby, Ray Charles could see that every word spoken by Nikki was a dagger in his un-Ashley loving heart. Victor seemed even more devastated when Nikki announced that she would be leaving town and she didn’t know when she would be back.
While this was going on, Adam was lurking on the stairs eavesdropping and plotting. Nikki and Victor shared some sweet flashbacks and a tender embrace and Nikki bolted from the scene, donning a black hooded cloak. Keep in mind a thunderstorm was a-brewin outside! Upstairs, Ashley woke up from another nightmare in which Sabrina let her know that her baby was dead and that Victor would never love her. Ashley got up and got in her car, driving in the rain to who the hell knows where. Nikki was walking, Ashley saw Sabrina, also donning a black hooded cloak.
It would appear as if Nikki and Ashley will be hurt. Ashley will “lose” the baby and Adam will sort of be in the clear on this one. Ashley? Not so much. We’ve seen this before. Victor cannot and will not let Nikki die or even lie in a hospital bed without being his wife…yada…yada….yada!
Speaking of Adam, about that letter….Adam was chilling plotting against Ashley when Heather burst into Mustache Manor demanding to know if Adam was gay. Adam denied denied denied but that sharp DA instinct in Heather wasn’t hearing any of that! She continued to put 2 + 2 together until she pretty much had the whole picture down. Adam copped to doing something with Adam but denied that any sex went down. Adam tried to convince Heather that he only loved her but Heather was so pissed, I am 100% there is no redemption for him this time.
And finally, when we left off yesterday, Sharon jacked a very expensive wedding ring from the jewelry store in one of her moments….Today, she was busted by security and the store manager, who was mucho unhappy with Sharon’s pathetic excuses. She tried all her wiles, but to no avail. The cops were called. One look at Sharon’s record cinched for the manager, who asked that Sharon be arrested immediately.
Wow. Kudos to the writers for Y&R for being AMAZING!
