The end of Guiding Light is steady upon us and I am starting to feel that uncomfortable feeling inside that confirms that I am not going to be happy on September 18, 2009! The only good thing about the ending of this great drama is that all the old schoolers are coming out of the wood work. It has been years, dare I say decades, since we have seen Nola, played by Lisa Brown, and her good girl/bad girl niece Bridget, played by Melissa Hayden. Both characters will return to Springfield to bid us all a fond farewell.
Who could forget the true teen love of Dylan and Harley and the baby they were forced to give up, Daisy/Susan? Harley isn’t in the picture anymore but Daisy is front and center in Sprinfield these days and she needs her daddy. I thought Brian Haskill was coming back as Dylan, but I was wrong! The original portrayer, Morgan Englund, will return and play the role for the duration. Now that’s old school!
