B&B: Bridget Gets Frisky with Owen!
by Gigi on Feb.27, 2010, under Bold and the Beautiful

The third time is obviously not the charm for B&B’s Bridget and Nick. On Friday, Aggie fell to the bottom of the stairs after a heated debate with Bridget. Surely whatever feelings Nick has for Aggie are going to increase now! Bridget seems to think the same this week when she runs out on Nick over the Aggie baby debacle. Bridget will run to the lonely offices of Jackie M for some think time. The Jackie M offices will not be so empty, and Owen will comfort Bridget in her time of need. Yes friends. One thing will lead to another and the two will make love. I have to admit I thought B&B was taking the road always traveled with this storyline and that Nick would be sleeping with Aggie before we could say “Nick is a man whore”. What does this mean for the great love of Nick and Bridget? Must not be so great after all…..

Last week Steffy lived up to her namesake and proved that she is indeed Stephanie Forrester’s granddaughter. After getting her hands on Katie’s engagement ring, she knew it would the perfect opportunity to blackmail the great $Bill and snatch the company back from him.
I have to give it to Steffy. She was smart to know what Bill’s weaknesses were and knew exactly how and when to strike. Even though it was pure good luck for Steffy to find the engagement ring that night at Bill & Katie’s bedroom, she still proved to be a dangerous mix of Stephanie’s overprotectiveness of her family and Brooke’s savvy seduction powers.
Watching Steffy play with the tough ruthless Bill Spencer and scheme to get her family’s company back kind of made me like her for the first time since she “grew up”. But all that changed the second she explained what R.E.S.T stood for.
Steffy never kept her hatred for the Logan sisters a secret, and I can understand why she would hate Katie for helping Bill take the company at the first place, and Donna for forcing her beloved granny out of Forrester Creations. And neither Katie nor Donna deserve to be owners of FC, but whether Steffy likes it or not, Brooke has played a huge part in the company’s success over the years; so excluding her from the ownership is a childish and stupid move.
So Ridge and Eric stood there and watched Taylor, who knows nothing about fashion or running a fashion company, become an owner of Forrester Creations. But I wasn’t surprised they said nothing about that, because those two men always been useless. They always depend on their wives to do all the decisions for them, so when Steffy (the new bitch in charge) said “sign” they said “amen”.
Brooke and Donna were a little too late to the party as the contract had already been signed and when they found who the new owners were, Brooke gave Ridge her “you son of a bitch” look. And we know Brooke isn’t going to go down without a fight, so look for a big Dynasty-esque catfight between Brooke and Taylor this week!!

Looks like this week Ridge goes back to his old indecisive crappy self and locks lips with Taylor. After having Brooke and Ridge happy together and Taylor finding a new beau in Whip, this revisited triangle would be enough to make me take a break from the show. However, here’s why I won’t do that just yet…
Brooke and Ridge are a sweet couple together, but soap couples always be at their best during angst and nobody gives better angst than those two. This time it’s going to get ugly when they exchange some pretty harsh words. As much as this triangle has become old and used, it’s always entertaining to watch Brooke and Taylor battle it out, even if the man isn’t worth it.

by Gigi on Jan.09, 2010, under The 411 Superstar of the Week

On B&B this week, Katie discovered the truth about the Dare line via a confession from Brooke. Katie immediately shared the devastating news with her husband, Bill. After that, all hell broke loose. Heather Tom brought all her skills to the table, defending her sisters to her overpowering husband. I could see Katie’s heart ripping in two as she realized she had to choose between her hot ass husband and her family. She chose Donna and Brooke in the end, but her heart is still wholeheartedly with Bill. Kudos to Heather Tom. We can’t wait to see what happens next!

The drama has been brewing in LA this week with Katie becoming more and more suspicious with every design she saw from the Forresters’ new line, Dare. When Katie decided to corner Brooke and question her about the real motives behind the new line, Brooke cracked and told Katie the whole truth. Brooke then asked Katie to keep mum for now until they find a way to deal with Bill. However, the second $Bill walked into the office Katie told him the whole thing and all hell broke loose…
Bill was furious at the Forresters and the way they fooled his wife and tried to make a laughing stock out of them both. I think that wasn’t the only reason behind his anger. The Forresters didn’t only try to fool Katie, they tried to fool Bill himself, and they almost did fool him. If it weren’t for Katie, the Dare line would have made it to the runway, so it must have killed Bill to know he had been fooled.
Bill started off by telling Ridge how their plan would have never worked and I admit, Ridge was looking stupid there. Bill was being condescending and calm, but one smirk from Donna was enough for him to unleash his fury.
Bill exploded in anger, telling Donna is nothing to the company and that her and Brooke are nothing but jealous tramps. Now at that part Bill was both right and wrong. He was right about Brooke and Donna sleeping with almost every man, and about Donna being nothing to Forrester Creations. Since the day Donna married Eric she has does nothing but call him “honeybear” and drizzle honey all over him (thank God we never see the drizzling part). But even if those things are right, Bill had no right to say them. He should have known that Katie would never accept the way he talked to her sisters. After Bill was finished, he told the Forresters he will never fire them and “dared” them to quit.
After Bill and Katie left, Stuffy took Bill’s place and started putting all the blame on Katie. She started saying everything she could to make it look like it was all the Logans’ fault. Apparently Stuffy forgot that it was her own father and grandfather who stood by and watched the company fall instead of doing something to save that sinking ship. When she said that Brooke and Donna didn’t deserve to be President and Vice President, I knew she must have been high. Katie didn’t just give Brooke and Donna those positions, she first offered them to Eric and Ridge in an attempt to make the best of the horrible situation that was created. The only part were Stuffy was right is when she admitted that Brooke deserved a place in the company unlike Donna who has contributed with nothing.
Katie and Bill took their fight to the beach house, where she started telling him that he crossed the line with her sisters. Katie went on telling Bill those weren’t his employees and that nobody talks to family like that, but Bill wouldn’t take any of that and told her that her sisters can’t be part of their lives anymore.
I really love Bill with Katie, but Bill is putting Katie in a horrible situation by forcing her to choose between him and her sisters. But what’s great about this story line is that you can’t blame just one person for everything, everyone contributed to making a bad situation even worse!

Things are going to get very ugly this week when Brooke spills the beans to Katie and Katie spills the beans to Bill. Bill
will confront those dastardly Forresters about their Dare line and the plan to take him down. Words will be said, and Katie will be forced to choose between her family and the husband that she loves and adores. Katie, the loyal sister as always, will walk away from Bill and their marriage after stern warnings from him not to. Will Bill go running to Steffy for comfort? Judging by this pic, Steffy might just get her man after all, but at what price?
B&B: Katie’s Lump of Coal
by Gigi on Dec.23, 2009, under Bold and the Beautiful

That’s right. On yesterday’s eppy, Katie Logan Spencer got served a heaping helping of rejection yesterday from sister’s Donna and Brooke, and for once I have to agree with the blonds. The Forrester’s have been scheming behind Bill’s back all week to take him down once and for all, and Katie’s dumb ass is floating around the office talking about morale this, and “can’t we all just get along” that. Katie went on and on about putting the past behind them for the holidays and everyone forgiving and getting to know Bill, while Donna and Brooke stood by looking guilty as hell. Finally, Katie came out of her fog long enough to ask what was with the long faces. Brooke and Donna politely informed their little sister that although she was invited to the Forrester Christmas festivities, her husband Bill was not. Who could blame them? Katie is acting like an idiot, and Eric and Ridge only have their homes to go to for sanctuary. Katie cried and Donna cried, but Brooke held her ground. After receiving her lump of coal, Katie then set her sights on the new line Eric designed, along with Bill Jr. Let’s just say that they both looked just about as amused as we were at that shiny piece of trash. Pat Benetar and the 80’s called, they want their dress back….
Retweet this postB&B’s New Hope!
by Gigi on Dec.05, 2009, under Bold and the Beautiful

UPDATED: In recent weeks, there were rumblings that Brooke’s youngest daughter, Hope Logan, would be aged to a 17 year old. CBS Soaps in Depth reported several weeks ago that there was a casting call out for a 17 year old Hope, and in the December 21 issue, they confirmed that plans were still in motion to cast the older Hope and a new character who will be a love interest for the young lady. B&B announced today that actress KIMBERLY MATULA has joined the B&B cast in the contract role of Hope.
B&B Executive Producer/Head Writer Bradley Bell said in a statement, “Kimberly is a vibrant and talented young actress. I look forward to seeing her bring Hope to life.” Bell added, “Aging the character of Hope to a teenager allows us to bring the next generation of Logans to the forefront, as well as play a broader range of the Forrester vs. Logan story.” Bell states that Hope’s presence at Forrester Creations, as well as in Brooke and Ridge’s home, sparks an intense competition between Hope and her step-sister Steffy that creates new conflict between long-time rivals Brooke and Taylor as each woman is determined to protect her own daughter.
Although the casting was announced today, Matula actually began taping The Bold and the Beautiful on November 19, 2009. Her first airdate is scheduled for January 11, 2010.
Soap Opera Digest reports in its Dec 15 issue that there are rumors that R.J. would be aged to 15 at the same time Hope is aged to 17, and TV Guide Canada’s SUDS REPORT also reported on Dec 04 that RJ would be aged to a teenager. Still, there have been no announcements of casting for an older R.J. or Hope’s possible love interest. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available. (Dec 04, 2009)

I make no apologies for my adoration of Heather Tom, but I have to ponder what the hell she must be thinking while acting out her scenes as Katie on B&B as of late. It’s bad enough that Katie is now a full on Logan through and through, but now this! I decided to tune in to today’s episode only to turn it off within the first two minutes. Who is writing for this show right now? This particular scene must have been written by a man and here is why: Brooke, Donna, and Katie. Jumping up and down in slinky pajamas with drinks in their hands….enough said. Only a man could write that scene and think that it wouldn’t be a complete and utter failure….

We rarely find B&B’s Brooke Forrester to be a pillar of wisdom, but we must give credit where credit is due. Little sister Katie is getting a lot of attention thanks to her new “love” with Bill Spencer, Jr. At first, a humble Katie tried to take it all in stride but it is becoming painfully obvious that she is starting to let it all go to her head. Brooke pointed out that after living in her sister’s shadows, Katie was finally the center of attention and loving it just a little too much. Katie denied this of course, telling Brooke that what she and Bill share is the real deal. Now that Katie is operating CEO and Bill’s wife to be, Bill wants to make it obvious who he thinks the queen of Forrester Creations should be. We were subjected to another Forrester Royalty photo shoot today at which Bill kindly shoved Brooke out of the spotlight and replaced her with Katie. Katie’s facial expressions were smug as she soaked up the attention of the crowd as well as her fiance. Brooke and Donna, looking beautiful as well, faded into a dull blond background while Katie appeared luminescent and angelic. Obviously, Katie is anything but angelic as she continues to prove daily. A true Logan Linx she has become, but thankfully, we like Katie this way. Taking things that don’t belong to them is what the Logan girls do best!
