The recent explosion of casting shake ups at OLTL are upsetting. However, our intention is not to dissuade you from watching OLTL. If we stop watching OLTL, the show might be canceled and another soap opera knocked off the daytime roster. This is not the first time beloved characters have been axed (Marlena and John, Days) and fans, including myself, have been in an uproar, and it won’t be the last. So please, keep watching OLTL, and keep daytime going.

This week on OLTL, Gigi and Schuyler wage war against one another for custody of Sierra Rose. Clint and Kim are going to join in the battle after they tie the knot, if Kim will sign the prenup. All the while, the other baby daddy, Fish, is keeping mum about his potential role as sperm donor. Kyle isn’t happy with the way Fish is handling this situation and told him so on today’s episode. OLTL fans are crucifying Schuyler for not stepping up for the baby, but I hear very little bitching about Fish. Fish is a good guy, and the guilt is obviously eating away at him. Fish needs to man up and at least get a paternity test to see if he is the father. We know Gigi and Rex would take good care of Sierra Rose, but I think we all want to see Kyle and Fish take the journey as parents together. It would make for a great story! Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Crystal Hunt will reprise her role as Stacy Morasco one last time on March 3. I wonder if she will be wearing Kimmy’s boots.

This week in Llanview, Dorian thinks all is well now that the dubious Mitch is behind bars once again. Sadly, Dorian’s joy will be short lived when Andrew, Cassie’s ex, shows up with devastating news. This is only a guess, but the tea that Cassie was drinking in last week’s phone call scenes might have been poisoned by Mitch or his cronies. My guess is that Andrew is coming to town to announce Cassie’s sudden death. Whatever the tragedy is, it will solidify Gina Tognoni’s stay on the show as Kelly decides to stay in town to help the family cope with the grief. Which Kramer girl do you think is in trouble? With so much emphasis on Adriana and Kelly, little was said of Cassie and her tea……

Update: Thanks to Jason, who left a comment on the 411, I now know that Dorian has a sister named Melinda. It is more likely that Andrew will show up to announce her death. I pondered why they would bring back Cassie just for one scene. Thanks Jason!

While most folks would say that OLTL’s Stacy Morasco was a “cartoon character” who had no depth, but as a soap fan, I have to disagree. As someone who always roots for the underdog, I have to strongly disagree. I am one of the fans who gets tired of characters like Gigi, who seem to be happy all the time and always get what they want. Stacy wasn’t one of those characters. She worked her ass off for the things she wanted, good or bad, and in the end Stacy got nothing. In the last weeks, Stacy became even more enduring as her love for Sierra Rose became painfully apparent, skankdom be damned. For that, and for bringing a little lighthearted scandalocity to Llanview, Stacy will be missed. RIP Skank #1!

Daytime Confidential is reporting that Daphnee Duplaix (Rachel, OLTL) has been let go from the show. No confirmation has been received as of yet.
