Since this year began, B&B has been hard to watch even though it’s only 19 minutes long. Steffy seems to be running everything and everyone and Ridge and Brooke are STILL having sex in every episode. The 6/4 episode changed all that for me. Judging by the reactions on Twitter and other soap blogs, I am not the only one. Brooke has managed to sleep with her virgin daughter Hope’s boyfriend Oliver. It wasn’t that long ago that Brooke had a torrid affair with Deacon Sharpe who just so happened to be married to her daughter Bridget. That affair led to the birth of Hope. The irony is uh-mazing.
Brooke, still clinging to her youth, donned the exact same dress as her daughter and seduced Oliver, whom she thought was Ridge, up against the side of the building. Oliver looked pleased as punch when he returned to the party, only to look up and see Hope. The look on his face was priceless as he realized that he hadn’t been with Hope after all. In slow motion, Oliver’s new lover sauntered into the party and pulled off her mask. Voila! It’s Mother of the Year, Brooke Logan Forrester!
Brooke is so fertile, if a man blows on her she gets pregnant. I seriously hope that isn’t the case with Oliver. However, I do look forward to seeing the fallout from this dirty debacle. It makes for good story!
Thanks to Daytime Confidential for the screencap!
Just when Hope thinks that things are finally going her way, the evil Steffy Forrester strikes again! This week, Hope is offered a scholarship to a prestigious university on the other side of the country, but is hesitant to take it because of her feelings for Oliver. Of course, Steffy sees this as the perfect opportunity to get rid of Hope. She sets a plan in motion to totally humiliate Hope during the launch of the Hope for the Future campaign. Shocked? Neither am I! Steffy’s plan is almost thwarted by Oliver, but she quickly recovers. Will she get rid of Hope, or will Steffy’s plan backfire in her face?

When B&B started back in the day, my mama and I watched it from day one. While I remained loyal, my mother drifted away from soaps as she had found better things to do. Apparently, mama is back to watching soaps! She wants to know what the hell is going on with B&B, and quite frankly, I don’t blame her! Winning an Emmy doesn’t give you the right to suck. Don Diamont is underused. Ridge and Brooke in bed is overused. Steffy is just bleh. The show still has it’s dramatic good points that made me stay loyal in the first place. However, staying loyal requires watching, something I haven’t been doing. What do you think about B&B lately? Love it or hate it? Let me know!
Last week Steffy lived up to her namesake and proved that she is indeed Stephanie Forrester’s granddaughter. After getting her hands on Katie’s engagement ring, she knew it would the perfect opportunity to blackmail the great $Bill and snatch the company back from him.
I have to give it to Steffy. She was smart to know what Bill’s weaknesses were and knew exactly how and when to strike. Even though it was pure good luck for Steffy to find the engagement ring that night at Bill & Katie’s bedroom, she still proved to be a dangerous mix of Stephanie’s overprotectiveness of her family and Brooke’s savvy seduction powers.
Watching Steffy play with the tough ruthless Bill Spencer and scheme to get her family’s company back kind of made me like her for the first time since she “grew up”. But all that changed the second she explained what R.E.S.T stood for.
Steffy never kept her hatred for the Logan sisters a secret, and I can understand why she would hate Katie for helping Bill take the company at the first place, and Donna for forcing her beloved granny out of Forrester Creations. And neither Katie nor Donna deserve to be owners of FC, but whether Steffy likes it or not, Brooke has played a huge part in the company’s success over the years; so excluding her from the ownership is a childish and stupid move.
So Ridge and Eric stood there and watched Taylor, who knows nothing about fashion or running a fashion company, become an owner of Forrester Creations. But I wasn’t surprised they said nothing about that, because those two men always been useless. They always depend on their wives to do all the decisions for them, so when Steffy (the new bitch in charge) said “sign” they said “amen”.
Brooke and Donna were a little too late to the party as the contract had already been signed and when they found who the new owners were, Brooke gave Ridge her “you son of a bitch” look. And we know Brooke isn’t going to go down without a fight, so look for a big Dynasty-esque catfight between Brooke and Taylor this week!!
This week, Steffy takes her plan to nab Bill for her own to the next level. As per her usual inappropriate shenanigans, Steffy will show up in Bill’s office with an offer of an already purchased lunch. Intrigued as always, Bill will accept. Steffy’s machinations will continue as she stages an “intimate” moment with Bill just as Donna is walking by playing I-Spy. Donna will run right to Katie with the news of what she witnessed and another fight between the Spencers will ensue. Katie leaves during the argument due to an important business meeting, but Big Baby Spencer will assume that she ran out on him again. The always ready, willing, and skanky Steffy will show up to offer her condolences. Bill may just be so upset that he will accept them! Is Bill willing to risk everything just to have sex with Steffy? If so, he seriously loses cool points with me.
